Your Hosts

“We are the caretakers of this land so our job is to protect it, nourish it and sustain it in the most natural way possible.”

Finca Esperanza Verde (FEV) began as a unique experiment in ecotourism  – part organic coffee farm and part tourist lodge. The farm has provided locals with profitable and sustainable ways to share their culture with visiting tourists and has received international recognition as a model of poverty alleviation through sustainable tourism and other socially responsible programs. In 2017 we were nominated for World’s Leading Eco-lodge by World Travel Awards.

Your hosts Andrew Russell and Vivianne Arango, as well as the staff at FEV, are honored to continue the legacy of the founders, Lonna and Richard Hardraker of Sister Communities of San Ramon - Durham, NC, by offering this unique experience for our visitors and community folks alike.
